Updates as of Feb 21, 2025:
1. USP will introduce digital object identifiers (DOI) to the Food Chemicals Codex beginning with FCC 14 2S on February 28, 2025, and Forum June 2025. DOI is a unique alphanumeric string assigned by a registration agency to identify content and provide a persistent link to its location on the Internet. Older FCC and Forum publications will not carry DOI numbers. For more information on how USP uses DOI, please visit https://www.uspnf.com/new-uspnf-online-faqs/end-user#DOI.

- Comprehensive search tool that operates like search tools on many popular websites, helping you to find exactly what you need.
- USP has invested in the technology and infrastructure to improve the user experience, increase speed, and provide a platform to add new functionality over the coming years.
Some new features that will be available in updated FCC/Forum Online experience include:
- For easy access to commonly used search terms and phrases, FCC users will now be able to save their search results. See Saved Searches section of the What’s New help page.
- For quicker access to what has been revised within a document, users can use the Revision Toggle Jumper at the top of the document page to navigate through revision mark-up or toggle it on or off.
Fixed Issues
- FIXED: There is no Immediate Standard (IS) icon or facet currently available in the new FCC Online platform to indicate to users that Ethyl Alcohol is an IS. As of December 6, 2024, this issue has been fixed. Immediate Standards are now tagged with an IS icon and can be found in the Additional Filters area.
- FIXED: There is a known issue with links in older versions of New and Changed front matter files. If you encounter a link that does not work, please use the search function or drop-down menus to find the monograph in question.
- FIXED: Due to the existing USP Reference Standards being relabeled in Appendix XVI: Protein-Based Ingredients, the following links to the iStore may not work until the appendix becomes official:
