FCC 12 and FCC 12 First Supplement: Revision and Effective Status

USP would like to make FCC users aware of the following identified issues in the FCC 12 and FCC 12 First Supplement online publications. 

• Updated hyperlinks to combined Appendix files in FCC 12 First Supplement (see related Compendial Notice here)
  • Resulted in a majority of files appearing as revised in FCC 12 1S with an effective date of Dec. 1, 2020, when in fact the files were not revised for content and remain effective with the “previous version” effective date.
• Effective date for FCC 12 was extended to December 1, 2020 in response to COVID (see related Compendial Notice here)
  • Resulted in FCC 12 version of files that were new or changed to show an effective date of “Dec 01, 2020 (FCC 12) to Nov 30, 2020 (FCC 12)”, once the FCC 12 1S version appeared as revised due to the above issue of fixing the Appendix hyperlinks. 
• Below is a table of new and changed files from both FCC 12 and FCC 12 1S that clarifies which files were actually new or revised in the publication and the associated effective date. Other resources to help identify which files contain actual content revisions are the “New and Changed” list, as well as the “Last Revised” information at the top of each file, under the title.
